Day 38: Minnesota
Day 37: Maryland winner was The Blair Witch Project. It came from behind to beat Wedding Crashers. As a kid growing up next to woods, The Blair Witch Project scared the hell outta me as a kid! Just that whole premise of not knowing if it’s real found footage was brilliant. I also loved Wedding Crashers in college, although I remember feeling duped that it sorta changed genres halfway through and the trailer didn’t hint at that. But it stands a rewatchable. Hairspray, Pink Flamingos, and Silence of the Lambs all got attention in the comments. And Diner got a lot of love. That was a favorite when my dad showed me as a youth.
Today’s state is Minnesota, so let’s see what’s in the cold weather states. Fargo won’t be taken here, even though it’s a largely Minnesota movie, I made the exception for North Dakota because, well, Fargo is the exception to many rules, dontchaknow.
